Welcome to the 6th annual scientific meeting of the Association of Srilankan Neurologists (ASN) in Colombo, Sri Lanka November 16-18, 2012. This year in addition to the regular meeting covering many areas of neurology we have organised an international symposium on CNS demyelination on the first day (16th November). We are confident that this conference will be an opportunity to exchange and gain high quality scientific knowledge in diseases of the nervous system. As usual we have an high calibre international faculty this year too. Also this would be us a chance to develop new friendships between colleagues. Sri Lanka is a small yet beautiful island in the Indian ocean. Its rich cultural heritage and gorgeous sandy beaches are world famous. There are many places to see in Sri Lanka including game parks, temples, tea gardens in the hills and of course the beaches. we have some of the best waves for surfing in the Eastern part part of the country. Most of all the friendly, smiling people of the country will be welcoming you everywhere. We are glad to be your host and hope you'll have an enjoyable stay in Sri Lanka.
